যুক্তরাজ্যে দীর্ঘদিনের সুনাম, সততা ও স্বচ্ছ ভাবমূর্তির সঙ্গে ব্যবসা পরিচালনা করে আসা বিশিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ী ও দুটি কমিউনিটি সেন্টারের স্বত্বাধিকারী আহমদ আলীকে জড়িয়ে কিছু গণমাধ্যমে প্রকাশিত ‘যুক্তরাজ্য আওয়ামী লীগের দোসর আহমদ আলীর রূপ বদল’ শীর্ষক সংবাদটি সম্পূর্ণ মিথ্যা, বানোয়াট ও উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিত বলে জানা গেছে। পারিবারিক হিংসা, প্রতিবেশীদের আক্রোশ ও রাজনৈতিক হীনস্বার্থে তাঁকে বলির পাঁঠা বানানো হচ্ছে বলে মনে করছেন তিনি। এই অপপ্রচারের তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছেন আহমদ আলী নিজে এবং যুক্তরাজ্য প্রবাসী কমিউনিটি।

আহমদ আলীর ঘনিষ্ঠ সূত্রে জানা গেছে, প্রবাস জীবনে তিনি অত্যন্ত পরিচ্ছন্ন ও নির্ঝঞ্ঝাট জীবনযাপন করেন। দীর্ঘদিনের ব্যবসায়িক ও সামাজিক যাত্রায় কোনো ধরনের দলীয় রাজনীতির সঙ্গে তাঁর যুক্ত থাকার বিন্দুমাত্র রেকর্ড নেই। একজন প্রতিষ্ঠিত ব্যবসায়ী ও সামাজিক ব্যক্তিত্বকে নিয়ে উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিত প্রোপাগাণ্ডা ছড়ানোয় যুক্তরাজ্য প্রবাসী কমিউনিটিতে তীব্র ক্ষোভের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।

"আমি সম্পূর্ণ নির্দোষ এবং রাজনীতির বাইরে" — আহমদ আলী

এক লিখিত বিবৃতিতে আহমদ আলী দ্ব্যর্থহীন কণ্ঠে নিজেকে সম্পূর্ণ নির্দোষ দাবি করে বলেন:

"আমি কোনো রাজনৈতিক দলের সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত নই। আমার জীবনে কোনো রাজনৈতিক দলের পদ-পদবি, সাংগঠনিক পরিচয় বা প্রাথমিক সদস্যপদ ছিল না এবং আজও নেই। আমি আওয়ামী লীগ করি না, বিএনপিও করি না। সম্পূর্ণ স্বাধীন ও নির্দলীয় একজন মানুষ হিসেবে ব্যবসা ও সমাজসেবা নিয়েই আমার ব্যস্ততা। একটি স্বার্থান্বেষী চক্র পরিকল্পিতভাবে আমাকে সমাজে হেয় প্রতিপন্ন করার জন্য সম্পূর্ণ মিথ্যা ও কাল্পনিক অপপ্রচার চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে।"

ব্যবসায়িক প্রটোকলের খণ্ডিত অপব্যাখ্যা

কমিউনিটি সেন্টার পরিচালনার স্বাভাবিক প্রটোকল নিয়ে বিভ্রান্তি ছড়ানোর বিষয়ে তিনি আরও বলেন:

"যুক্তরাজ্যে দুটি কমিউনিটি সেন্টার পরিচালনা করার সুবাদে সেখানে বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষের আগমন ঘটে। বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দলের নেতা, সংসদ সদস্য, মন্ত্রী, জনপ্রতিনিধি ও বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ, অভ্যর্থনা জানানো এবং স্মৃতি হিসেবে ছবি তোলা একটি সাধারণ ব্যবসায়িক প্রটোকল। ব্রিটিশ প্রধানমন্ত্রী থেকে শুরু করে বিএনপির সাবেক ও বর্তমান শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দ এবং দেশের বিভিন্ন মহলের বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের সঙ্গেও আমার অসংখ্য ছবি রয়েছে। অথচ সম্পূর্ণ অসৎ উদ্দেশ্যে কেবল একটি নির্দিষ্ট দলের নেতাদের ছবি বেছে নিয়ে খণ্ডিতভাবে প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে, যা গভীর ষড়যন্ত্রের অংশ।"

তথ্যভিত্তিক চ্যালেঞ্জ ও সংবাদমাধ্যমের প্রতি আহ্বান

নিজের সততা ও স্বচ্ছতা নিশ্চিত করে আহমদ আলী একটি শক্তিশালী চ্যালেঞ্জ ছুঁড়ে দিয়ে বলেন— অনুমান, গুজব কিংবা খণ্ডিত ছবি দিয়ে কারো রাজনৈতিক পরিচয় নির্ধারণ করা যায় না। যদি সত্যিই তাঁর কোনো রাজনৈতিক সম্পৃক্ততা বা অপকর্মের বিন্দুমাত্র প্রমাণ থাকে, তবে তা তথ্যপ্রমাণসহ জনসমক্ষে আনার আহ্বান জানান তিনি।

পাশাপাশি সংবাদমাধ্যমের প্রতি দায়িত্বশীল ভূমিকা পালনের অনুরোধ জানিয়ে তিনি বলেন, কারো দেওয়া খণ্ডিত তথ্য বা ব্যক্তিগত সুবিধা দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়ে যাচাই-বাছাই ছাড়া একপাক্ষিক খবর প্রকাশে একজন নির্দোষ মানুষের দীর্ঘদিনের অর্জিত সুনাম মারাত্মকভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।

আইনি পদক্ষেপের হুঁশিয়ারি

সবশেষে নিজের সামাজিক, পারিবারিক ও ব্যবসায়িক সম্মান রক্ষার্থে আহমদ আলী স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দিয়েছেন, সত্য ও বাস্তবতা শেষ পর্যন্ত অপপ্রচারকে পরাজিত করবে। তবে এই ধরনের মিথ্যা, বানোয়াট ও মানহানিকর প্রচার অবিলম্বে বন্ধ না হলে ভবিষ্যতে আন্তর্জাতিক ও দেশীয় প্রচলিত আইন অনুযায়ী সংশ্লিষ্টদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর আইনি ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করতে তিনি পিছপা হবেন না।

Ahmed Ali, who has built a long-standing reputation for honesty, integrity, and transparency while conducting business in the United Kingdom and is the owner of two community centers, believes that he is being deliberately targeted due to family disputes, hostility from neighbors, and narrow political interests.

Ahmed Ali himself, along with members of the UK-based Bangladeshi community, has strongly condemned and protested against what they describe as the smear campaign.

According to people close to Ahmed Ali, he has maintained a clean and peaceful life throughout his years in the UK. There is reportedly no record of his involvement in any form of party politics during his long business and social career.

«“As I operate two community centers in the United Kingdom, people from various professions and backgrounds visit these venues. Meeting political leaders, Members of Parliament, ministers, elected representatives, and prominent individuals, welcoming them, and taking photographs as memories are all part of normal business protocol. I have numerous photographs with British Prime Ministers, former and current senior BNP leaders, and prominent individuals from various sections of society in Bangladesh. However, with completely dishonest intentions, photographs involving leaders of only one particular political party have been selectively chosen and published out of context. This is part of a deep conspiracy.”»

Fact-Based Challenge and Appeal to the Media

Emphasizing his integrity and transparency, Ahmed Ali issued a strong challenge, stating that no one’s political identity can be determined based on assumptions, rumors, or selectively presented photographs.

Finally, Ahmed Ali made it clear that he will take all necessary steps to protect his social, family, and business reputation, stating that truth and reality will ultimately prevail over false propaganda.

However, he warned that if such false, fabricated, and defamatory campaigns are not stopped immediately, he will not hesitate to take strong legal action against those responsible in accordance with applicable domestic and international laws.
